Privacy
What this site collects, why, and what it deliberately does not. Written to describe what the software actually does rather than to cover every eventuality.
What is collected, and only when you send it
There is no analytics script, no session recording, no advertising pixel, and no third-party JavaScript on any page. Nothing you do here is sent to another company.
One thing is counted. When a page is requested, the studio adds one to a tally recording that the page was viewed in that hour, whether the visitor arrived directly or from a search engine, and whether the browser was a phone, a tablet, or a desktop. That is the whole record.
There is no row that represents you. No identifier is stored, no cookie is set, and your address and browser details are never written down. Because the tallies are only ever added to, nothing anywhere records that the same person viewed two pages — it is not that the studio declines to look, it is that the information was never written down and cannot be recovered.
If you submit an inquiry or a message, the studio stores what you typed: your name, email address, and — if you chose to give them — company, phone number, and preferred contact method, alongside the answers you selected about the project. That is kept so someone can reply to you, and it is not sold, shared, or added to a mailing list.
Cookies
Two, and neither is used for advertising:
- A sign-in cookie, set only for studio staff signing into the private console. Visitors never receive one.
- A campaign cookie named
ps_attr, set only if you arrive through a link carrying campaign parameters — from a newsletter or a specific outreach message. It records which campaign brought you and nothing about you, cannot be read by any script, and expires after 30 days. Arrive any other way and it is never set.
Search
Searches are recorded — the words, the number of results, and how long the query took — so the studio can see what people look for and fail to find. Deliberately not recorded: who searched. There is no column for it, so it is not a policy that could be quietly reversed.
The assistant
If the “Ask about the work” page is available, questions asked there are answered by Claude, working only from published project records — not from general knowledge, and never from anything unpublished.
The question is recorded; the answer is not, and neither is who asked. Questions are kept so the studio can see what people look for and the portfolio does not cover. There is no user, session, or address column on that table. Worth being direct about one thing: people sometimes type details about themselves into a question box, and anything you write there is stored as you wrote it — so treat it as a public question rather than a private message.
Retention
Searches and questions are deleted after 180 days. Page tallies keep their hourly detail for 90 days and are then merged into daily totals, which makes them less specific over time rather than more.
Inquiries are treated differently and deliberately: they are the record of a conversation with a real person, so they are not deleted on a timer — losing the studio’s own history of what was discussed and promised would serve nobody. If you want your inquiry deleted, ask, and it will be.
Still to be written
The formal legal statement — the data controller, the governing jurisdiction, the enumerated rights and the process for exercising them — is not published yet. It is a legal document and the studio would rather publish it once than publish a draft that reads as though it means something.
