What it solves

Aspiring founders need serious business planning (startup costs, break-even, sales forecasts, cash flow, income statements, burn rate, runway, valuation) but get it only through intimidating spreadsheets or generic plan templates. There is no engaging way to design a business and see realistic numbers for what it could become.

Built for Aspiring founders and entrepreneurs modeling a business idea's economics.

Overview

FounderWorld lets users visually design a business, model real economics, simulate growth over time, and see what it takes to reach profitability, funding readiness, and exit value. It grounds itself in recognized planning needs (startup costs, break-even, sales forecasts, cash flow, income statements) and startup metrics (revenue, burn rate, runway, growth rate) drawn from SBA/SCORE/YC resources, then presents them in a cinematic, game-like interface. The goal is realistic business numbers users can actually analyze, made approachable.

What this demonstrates

Builds a business financial-modeling engine (startup costs, break-even, cash flow, burn/runway, growth, valuation) as a time-stepped simulation feeding interactive charts, with typed models and unit tests. Runs entirely client-side with shared state and animated presentation.

What makes it different

  • Serious math, game-like surfacePlayful to use, financially serious under the hood.
  • Build visually, not in a spreadsheetThe company evolves on screen as metrics improve.
  • Reality Check on assumptionsFlags when growth, spend, or payroll don't add up.
  • Compare pathsBootstrap vs funded, lean vs aggressive, high vs low ticket.
  • Valuations are estimatesAll outputs labeled assumption-based.
