What it solves

Major life decisions — moving cities, changing careers, starting a business, renting vs buying, marriage, having children — carry financial and human consequences that are hard to see in advance. People weigh them with spreadsheets or gut feel and miss the tradeoffs across money, time, stress, relationships, risk, and regret. There is no simple way to test different futures before living them.

Built for Individuals and couples facing major life decisions; also entrepreneurs and risk-takers, family planners, and advisors (financial, career, relocation, coaching) working with clients.

Overview

Life Decision Simulator lets users build multiple possible future paths for a decision, enter a baseline and rank their values, and run a simulation that projects outcomes across finances, career, health/stress, relationships, happiness, risk, and regret. Results appear as year-by-year timelines, life scores, and a Multiverse view that compares paths side by side and recommends staged, lower-risk versions of risky decisions. Users get quests (next steps), shareable reports, and an AI strategist that explains tradeoffs. It is packaged as a SaaS with free, pro, couples, and advisor tiers.

What this demonstrates

The engineering core is a modular, explainable deterministic simulation engine — separate baseline, financial, housing, career, business, family, risk, and regret modules — producing structured yearly results and value-weighted scores. It layers an AI explanation step grounded in simulation data with a high-quality templated fallback, Stripe subscription gating with a mock mode, and Auth.js accounts. Every optional integration degrades gracefully when its key is absent.

What makes it different

Simulate your biggest life decisions before you live them — and see not just the financial answer, but the full human answer.

  • Simulate, do not predictShows possible outcomes based on assumptions and ranges, never guarantees the future.
  • Simple input, deep outputA simple experience over complex simulation logic.
  • Emotional and practicalWeighs money, risk, time, relationships, happiness, and regret together.
  • Game-like, not childishLife stats, scenario battles, and timelines kept premium, not gimmicky.
  • Clarity over complexityEvery result says what looks best, why, and what to do next.
