What it solves

Pet health information is usually scattered across old vet invoices, paper vaccine records, photos, text messages, email attachments, and different clinics. That causes missing vaccine history, forgotten allergies, confusing medical timelines, repeated explanations to new vets, lost photos and milestones, and poor emergency context. The app creates one beautiful, shareable, living profile for each pet.

Overview

Each pet gets a lifetime profile combining an emotional memory timeline, structured medical records, and a veterinarian-ready health snapshot. Owners add pets, upload photos, and record vaccines, medications, procedures, allergies, weight, and milestones, which flow into a filterable timeline and a Vet Snapshot readable in under 30 seconds. Owners generate secure, expiring, access-logged share links at different permission levels — view-only, contributor, emergency, or family — and vets can submit updates through an owner-approval flow. Aging and wellness insights, reminders, PDF exports with QR codes, and memorial mode round out the record, framed as informational rather than diagnostic.

What this demonstrates

It builds role-separated owner, veterinarian, and emergency access through secure random share tokens with expiration and access logging, plus an owner-approval contribution flow. It extracts EXIF metadata from photos and uses a Claude vision model, generates PDFs, presigns S3/R2 uploads, rate-limits via Upstash, and drives cron-based reminder digests over email.

How it is built

A Next.js app with Prisma over PostgreSQL and Auth.js sessions. File uploads go to AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2 via presigned URLs, Upstash Redis provides rate limiting and quotas, Resend sends transactional email, Stripe handles billing, and a secured cron endpoint sends the reminder digest.
